Jay Leno Visits Hybrid Technologies Facility in Van Nuys to Take Delivery of Special Edition Lithium R-Car.

NEW YORK, NY & BURBANK, CA. May 2, 2005 - Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:HYBT) - www.hybridtechnologies.com- R-Electric Car Co., Global Hybrid Corp., Solium Power Corp., and WhistlerTel - emerging leaders in the development and marketing of Lithium iCeL(TM)-powered and VoIP products worldwide is pleased to announce that on Saturday April 30th, Jay Leno took delivery of his special edition "R-Car" at Hybrid's Van Nuys facility.

America's most famous car collector was handed the keys to the first production model "R-Car." Mr. Leno also toured Hybrid Technologies' facility where the "R-Car" is produced.

The lithium powered high performance "R-Car" was slightly modified for Jay Leno. Additional features include a three-point racing harness as well as minor adjustments to the braking system and structure to allow an even higher top speed.

Mr. Leno, not only an automobile fan, but also an avid biker, was the first to ride the CHP Memorial Chopper. The Chopper was built for the California Highway Patrol to honor officers fallen in the line of duty.
