Insight and Prius Hybrid Crash Tests August 2004Q: How well did the the Honda and Toyota Hybrid cars do in crash tests?A: We turned to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration for this answer. It says both the the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight have been tested in 2004. Both cars received 4-star ratings in side crash tests. That translates to a 6-to-10 percent chance of serious injury. In rollover crashes, both cars had a 4-to-20 percent chance of serious injuries, and both cars offered a 10-to-20 percent chance of serious injury in frontal crashes.
