Fuel efficiency is boosted due to the fact that the engine shuts down when the car comes to a complete halt in neutral and starts back when the gear is engaged. The instrument panel has various displays showing valuable information such as battery condition, current fuel economy, average fuel economy, as well as the more common tachometer, speedometer, fuel-level, and coolant-temperature gauges.

According to the dealers, The Integrated Motor Assist(IMA) system requires no regular service beyond checking the computer. Under normal conditions, Honda states that no scheduled tuneups are required until 110,000 miles.
